Bill Suydam, our editor, has over 15 years’ experience as a magazine and newsletter editor, freelance writer, and photographer. Â In addition, he has worked as a Smalltalk teacher and consultant, and builds web sites.
His experience as a technology reviewer (hardware, sofware, etc.) dates to 1983, when he began reviewing computer hardware for Popular Computing (Byte‘s sister publication) then served as the magazine’s Senior Technical Editor before moving to PennWell Publishing’s Business Computing as Senior Editor and eventually to Computer Design. He later became editor-in-chief of Portable Computing and Portable Office.
Through all this, he has maintained a wry sense of humor.
